God of Miracles (Part 2)

I would like to introduce today’s post with a personal testimony. A couple of weeks ago, I was in a tight situation, and needed a breakthrough. Running out on options as the deadline approached, I got anxious and impatient, although I waited upon the Lord in prayer and fasting. Regardless of what I had read and the comforting words of the Holy Spirit, another voice kept telling me how impossible what I wanted to get was. Cutting the long story short, God pulled through the last minute, and He did what He alone can do at His own time.

Many stories have been shared about the great and wondrous works of God. Although it may sound mystical or you may perceive it as a myth, God is still in the business of doing miracles. In actual sense, He does it when He wants to do it for you to show forth His Glory. It makes sense if you understand that “God also bore witness both with signs and wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will” (Hebrews 2:4). It took me a while to wrap my head around this, but upon meditating on the scripture, one can see the truth in it. Let me elaborate on this a little with how God delivers the Israelites from the Egyptians:

2. God delivers the Israelites in Egypt (Exodus 14)

God came through to deliver the Israelites with His mighty hand. The details of the delivery brings forth signs and wonders to the whole world, and all the nations were afraid of the Israelites. It is well known of the ten plagues that God sent on the Egyptians. God hardened the heart of Pharoah, so that He could wrought His mighty and wondrous works for the world to see. Through that experience, God performs one sign as He totally delivers them:

“And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told… And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will charge in after the Israelites. My great glory will be displayed through Pharaoh and his troops, his chariots, and his charioteers. When my glory is displayed through them, all Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the Lord!””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:4, 17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God opened the Red Sea for the Israelites to walk on bare foot. He was doing that so that His Glory will be seen. He could have done it as soon as the Israelites got to the Red Sea, but He waited. Come to think of it, how would the Egyptians have see His glory through such a wonder? He waited until it seemed the Israelites were trapped and doomed for execution, and then He pulled the strings. All through this episode of events, God had it in His mind to display His Glory.

Never stand in the way of the Glory of God. All things are created and exist for His pleasure and glory. When God performs a miracle for you, its according to His terms and not yours. We feel impatient when we think God should do what we want according to our terms. That’s not how God works. He does what you need at His own terms, so that others will see that He is Sovereign.

I thank you Father for the word I have head today. Thank you for assuring me of Your love and commitment to do what I need. I surrender my all unto You and I ask that let Your glory be revealed through my life. Let all men see You through every life´s situations. We thank you Father for an answered prayer. AMEN!

God is just, so He causes rein to fall for both the righteous and the unrighteous. However, God is not just into the miracles He will do for You and the Glory He gets, He is very much interested in having a relationship with you. Yes, the Glory that He wants seen is to make others come into fellowship with Him. The only way to have fellowship with the Father is to come through Christ. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in Your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then You shall be saved. Today is the hour and time to receive Jesus into your heart and have an eternal place with Him. If you want to do so, say these prayers after me:

Thank you Father for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die for me. I receive Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Come and live in my heart that I can have fellowship with the Father. AMEN!

If you have said this prayer after me, welcome to the family of believers. Do find a bible believing and Holy Spirit filled church to fellowship with. God bless you and remain a blessing.
